Many regions in Italy will grant contributions for material and/or immaterial investments in wine treatment facilities, vinicultural infrastructure, as well as structures and tools for wine marketing aimed at improving overall business performance and increasing competitiveness.

Beneficiaries: Aid is granted to companies engaged in at least one of the following activities:

  1. Production of grape must obtained from the processing of fresh grapes produced by themselves, purchased, or contributed by members, even for commercial purposes.
  2. Production of wine obtained from the processing of fresh grapes or grape must obtained from fresh grapes, purchased, or contributed by members, even for commercial purposes.
  3. Processing, refining, and/or packaging of wine contributed by members and/or purchased, even for commercial purposes; companies engaged solely in the commercialization of products are excluded from the contribution.
  4. Production of wine through the processing of their own grapes by third-party winemakers, provided that the application is aimed at establishing a new wine treatment facility or vinicultural infrastructure, even for commercial purposes.

Types of eligible interventions: Expenses for both material and immaterial investments are eligible for support, such as:

  1. Construction/restructuring of properties instrumental to the viticultural activity, excluding interventions related to retail outlets not adjacent to the grape processing or wine production site.
  2. Purchase of specific machinery, equipment, and machinery for the transformation and/or commercialization activities.
  3. Furnishings and setups aimed at the functionality of direct sales points to the final consumer of company products.
  4. Creation and/or enhancement of websites for e-commerce purposes.
  5. Purchase of software exclusively for winery operation management.
  6. Technical expenses, such as fees for professionals and consultants, directly related to the proposed investments.

The deadline for joining the Wine Investment Measure has been extended to October 31, 2023.
